This unique mandrel is made from quality stainless steel , the tip is sealed and 25mm from the sealed end there a small hole through the mandrel.
How it works is after dipping in bead release you need to keep the air hole clear by either popping a pin in or blowing down the mandrel to keep the air hole clear.When the bead release has dried you start with a glass disc either side of the air hole , add to the discs and start working them together until you have a sealed bead. You can then start warming the bead and blowing down the mandrel to create a smooth hollow bead , the further apart the disc the bigger the bead.
The overall length of the mandrel is 260mm , thickness is 3mm which means the nmandrel is nice and light to work with for long periods.
