1/8 Kilo of Eggwhite (Ltd Run) CiM Glass Rods, 5-6 rods.

Ltd Run colours are manufactured in extremely small quantities and might not be repeated again so the advice is always to buy as much as you can if you like it.

Egg White is described as a "Pale yellow opal that stays translucent after annealing"

"Egg White is one of the new translucent opals. I love it!! It was not shocky for me and it fumed to a deeper yellow with the Helios stringer. This bead is a base of Egg White with DH Helios stringer."

"Egg White is a white opal glass that has been designed to stay translucent. This is the second glass of this new type that I have looked at so far [see my post on Elixir] and it too seems to have a kind of inner glow to it. Egg White is a fairly stiff glass that is not reactive with either turquoise [Smurfy dots] or handmade Effetre silvered ivory stringer." Read more at Kitzbitz Art Glass' blog.

"Oooh, hello, this is a nice one. Egg White is a translucent opal and it’s a thing of beauty. It’s got a sort of softest-hint-of-yellow creaminess to it that reminds me of ivory or antique lace. Egg White was soft and smooth to work with and I had no shockiness problems with it. I work very cool and I found that if I heated the glass too much for too long it scummed a bit so I’m guessing that this one likes to be handled with care." Read more at Laura's tumblr.

"A beautiful and mystical opal white that is semi-translucent. Such a beautiful colour solo they have a pearly white glow about them."

"This is another one of the new opals that keeps it's alluring translucency after annealing. This melts beautifully without needing any pre-heating. You can see from the test beads how well this takes frit, and see how it has changed with the reactive jellyfish blend. The Dark Lavender is softened beautifully, and even on it's own Egg White is understated and stunning."
